When to Take Your Pet to a Vet (Bila Perlu ke Klinik Haiwan)
Knowing when to go to the vet saves worry and, sometimes, your pet's life. Here's a simple way to decide between "go now", "book this week" and "keep an eye on it".
Go now (emergency)
Trouble breathing, collapse or seizures, heavy bleeding, being hit by a vehicle, eating poison or medicine, repeated vomiting, a swollen hard belly, or (in male cats especially) straining in the litter box with little or no urine.
Book a visit this week
Not eating for a day, ongoing diarrhoea, limping, itchy or smelly skin, ear scratching or head shaking, weight loss, or drinking much more than usual.
Routine visits
Vaccinations, deworming, a yearly health check, and advice before neutering. Regular visits catch problems early, especially for pets over about 7 years old.
